Notes

Possibly to be identified as a 'Johan Mouton' making a complaint against Savage in 1370 which he had appealed to the king. An esquire, accused, tried and found guilty of crimes before Arnold Savage, lieutenant of the seneschal of Gascony, before 1365. In an appeal of Savage, asking for the judgment against Mouton to be put into execution, it is recorded that Mouton escaped from prison in the castle of Bordeaux, and in the process of his re-arrest, he killed Henry de St Leger, an esquire, and kinsman of Savage.
